The Coding Academy has highly qualified and experienced lecturers who presented the material in an understandable and appealing manner. They conveyed fundamental concepts and techniques that are crucial for programming with Python.

Particularly positive was the structured approach of the course. The lessons were well built upon each other and allowed for smooth learning progress. There were plenty of exercises and practical tasks to apply what was learned and strengthen one’s own skills.

The support from the Coding Academy was also outstanding. The course staff was always available to answer questions and provide additional explanations. They were patient, attentive, and committed to ensuring that everyone could successfully complete the course.

From April 11 to 13, 2022, two of my colleagues and I participated in the Python course for beginners of the Coding Academy Munich online. Although we were a heterogeneous group (I had no previous programming experience, the other two had taught themselves some Python basics on their own), the trainer managed to create a very focused atmosphere in which each of us could learn a lot.

We found the relationship between theory and application particularly successful. After an efficient and informative theoretical introduction to the respective topic, we were able to check whether we were able to implement the concepts that had just been discussed and presented and to apply them ourselves by means of exercises. We were given enough time to solve the exercises. This was sufficient for us to work on the exercises independently and to help each other if necessary, before the solutions were then discussed together with the trainer. As there were often several ways to arrive at the correct result in the more challenging exercises, we were encouraged to discuss our solutions together in the group. The trainer explained the respective advantages and disadvantages in a comprehensible way, so that we quickly got a feeling for “clean” programming in Python. We were very well supported in more difficult tasks and found a solution together in this way.

The course material that we were provided with was very comprehensive and clear. It also included exercises including their solution that were not covered in the course, so it was possible to continue practicing beyond the course. All the planned seminar content was covered and practiced, as stated on the Coding Academy website. Among other things, we as participants were able to program a lottery game, create and edit lists and dictionaries and, last but not least, .txt files.

What also pleased us was the trainer’s willingness to spontaneously hold the course in English, since we were an international group. We were also asked for a short feedback at the end of each day. Our suggestions, such as providing a short summary of the course content as a handout, were gratefully accepted. The certificates were sent to us by mail within a week after the course.

Overall, the course was a lot of fun. Through the many joint discussions and the relaxed, productive working atmosphere, a friendly collaboration quickly developed. My colleagues and I learned a lot and can recommend this course with a clear conscience to people who have little or no experience in programming with Python.

Our team participated in a 5-week online program (Python Basic Course for Machine Learning) from the Coding Academy at the end of 2022. The training not only fully convinced us in terms of content, but the format also contributed to the success. As part of an internal job change, knowledge of Python was required. We had previously had little or no contact with Python. Hence the choice of a beginner’s course, in our case in the form of the ‘4-week programme’. We liked the 4-week programme very much, as we were able to integrate the ‘learning’ flexibly into our everyday working life. We were able to work through the course content at our own pace, pausing briefly at any time to take notes or do further internet research. Each short content consists of a theory block followed by a workshop in which suitable practical tasks are set. These advantages helped us to understand and internalise the short content very well. The ratio of video material and online meetings with the trainer is absolutely harmonious. Furthermore, the course was well structured, with the right learning content and the contact persons were competent and helpful. all in all, we enjoyed the training, we were able to learn a lot and we will try to complete further training courses in this form as well.
